The TMC Mars-40 Tray AMR is an industrial autonomous mobile robot (AMR) designed for structured intralogistics transport with payloads up to 40 kg. The system integrates an intelligent tray with onboard payload sensing, enabling safe and repeatable transport of trays, bins, and workpiece carriers.

Navigation is handled through 3D RGB-D vision and LiDAR, providing a 180-degree detection field without blind spots. This allows the robot to operate reliably in dynamic industrial environments with people, obstacles, and changing layouts. Adjustable independent suspension ensures smooth and stable motion across different floor types, including concrete, wood, marble, and carpet.

The platform is enabled by TMC Robotics, supporting European customers with system selection, application guidance, and long-term lifecycle support.

Product description

The TMC Mars-40 Tray AMR is a compact yet high-performance autonomous mobile robot engineered for continuous industrial operation. With a maximum payload of 40 kg and an integrated intelligent tray, the robot supports direct material transport without the need for external top modules.

Autonomous navigation is achieved using a combination of 3D RGB-D cameras and LiDAR, fused through multi-sensor algorithms to detect low, irregular, suspended, and moving obstacles. A 180° detection angle ensures precise obstacle avoidance and safe motion planning in narrow and mixed-traffic environments.

The robot features independent adjustable suspension with vehicle-grade damping, allowing it to traverse floor transitions, carpets, small obstacles up to 20 mm, gaps up to 65 mm, and slopes up to 10° while maintaining stable payload transport.

Human-machine interaction is supported through onboard displays and AI voice interaction, combined with smart lighting indicators that visually communicate system states. With >10 hours of continuous operation and a charging time of approximately 3 hours, the platform is well suited for multi-shift logistics workflows.

The Mars-40 is designed for scalable deployment, from single-unit use to coordinated multi-AMR fleets, and can be connected via Wi-Fi or 4G to higher-level systems.
All system enablement and support are provided by TMC Robotics. Installation and commissioning are not included by default and can be delivered as optional professional services.
